Speakers Series, 2004 - ongoing.
Since I started living in the U.S. I have been documenting public speaking events by artists, curators, museum directors, and art historians, while also taking notes of the lectures. This has resulted in a series of 50 and more courtroom-style drawings, which in aggregate convey the range of opinions at large in the institutional art world. These speak of this world’s limitations and its aspirations from the point of view of the people who function at the executive level in running it, and from the position of people who are theoretically being served – the artists and the audience.
