Art/World Triptychs 2016 - ongoing
After working with studio environments as a source for found still-lifes, I began to see similar patterns of shifting materiality beyond those spaces – in the exhibition hall and the gallery, but also in private domestic spaces, the chaos of the street, and finally, nature. It seemed to me that the frame of the photograph could level out the differences between these places. I began to group photographs as pairs or as triptychs to show the relationships.
These digital prints are banner-size horizontal triptychs, 24"x 99", images made with a Canon 5D camera, printed on Epson matte roll paper.
