In 2003 I began to document talks given by people in the art world — artists, writers, curators, museum directors, academics and collectors — drawing them, courtroom-style, while also taking notes on their words. I ended up with more than 100 drawings, which in aggregate convey the range of opinions in circulation in the institutional art world of a certain era. The drawings speak of that world’s aspirations, and limitations, from the point of view of the people who run it, and of the people who provide its form and content –– the artists.

This project, now 140 drawings, is now being formatted as a book
(looking for a publisher!).
