Portfolio > Art/World Triptychs 2016 - ongoing

Each of these triptychs function like a visual sentence, as I try to form relationships between art I have seen all my life and the other observations I make of my everyday experience. Often the initial connection I make is formal, but like any algorithmic formation, random elements then start to talk to each other in unexpected ways. The process is a form of visual problem solving, as I try to make sense of broader patterns of subject matter I seem to dwell on; trees and parks, buildings, cities and towns, domestic clutter and construction sites, recycling depots, the studio, museums, and details of paintings, because I still look at them.

These digital prints are banner-size horizontal triptychs, 24"x 99", images made with a Canon 5D or R5, printed on Epson matte roll paper.
